Introducing Dimensions
Dimensions allow Empower Quoting to be customized so that a quote can quickly and easily calculate costs based on some variable dimension.
A simple example is probably the easiest way to explain Dimensions
1. Suppose you have some type of material that you want to add to your quote.
2. And that material costs say $10 per square meter.
3. But you want to have a piece of that material that is say 3 meters wide by 5 meters long.
4. To do this add two Dimensions say Width and Length. Its is possible to have up to three Dimensions in total (throughout the system).
5. Then in your quote there will be two new columns headed up Width and Length (or whatever you wish to have them called).
And then in your quote you will put
And the quote line will calculate this as 3 meters wide X 5 meters long X $10 per square meter = $150.
